I didn't hear that but wouldn't have believed it if I had. Not only is this kid a completely gifted athlete, from the little I've seen & read he is one of our biggest supporters & is actively recruiting other targeted kids as much as he can. Great kid - we're very lucky with this one....

Trust in Alex...the man is honest and a true Buckeye reporter... the only way Elliott decommits is if OSU is going to land (and I am saying 100%) Green or another top back... but based on the reports and what I have heard, this is similar to Cam Burrows, it is all hogwash, those guys will be Buckeyes. I can not wait for this season to start up, because all of this type of 'question mark' news will be a waste of time...our current Buckeyes (lets not forget them) are going to dominate on the field, and the rest (including recruiting) will fall like dominos)

Bucknuts is starting to be the source of a lot of bullshit rumors surrounding recruiting. That's also where the "Jaron Dukes has had his scholarship revoked by Hoke" rumor started and exploded. That site is a disaster.
I dont think Bucknuts was the orginal starter of rumor, I think Irish Envy might have been, I could be wrong though

Oh believe me, I don't have an account, I'm a poor student as well.
But let me clarify that when I insult BN, I'm judging the commentors, not the site itself. Wiltfong, Trieu, and Kurelic are good reporters, (though Kurelic is biased to a point past credibility at times) and the news would be helpful if it wasn't all paywalled.
But the commentors are for the most part, the bottom of the barrel of OSU fans. Many of them can barely grasp the English language and are the least realistic fans I've ever heard.
I paid for a while ... long long ago. I dunno I couldn't put my finger on what I didn't like but there was plenty of it. Seemed like a non-stop money whoring effort maybe? I never went back and I don't miss'em.
I do NOT want Bucknuts to go down . . . those commentors will just migrate elsewhere. Better to keep them there and 11W (relatively) idiot free!
@Buck-I.8 Agreed on the commentors @BN. Spent very little time there - did not want to pay for what they offer & did not like the commentary. Not to sound elitist - but I felt like they (not all but many) were pretty fringe-ish and generally pretty slow.
Very satisfied with just coming here for my Buckeye news.

I couldnt disagree more Buck I - 8. The writers at BN are excellent and I have gladly paid for the content for years. Board "insiders" are terrible everywhere yet people still give them an audience. Take with a grain of salt anything yiou hear on any board. It is the internet, people can say anything and will do so to feel special...sad but true. You can't fault the site for the behavior of a few on the boards...not fair. BN is still an excellent source of Buckeye information.
Toledo Trenches, are you saying the board insiders are terrible here? Because I think that is totally wrong... I have yet to see any wildly unrealistic and unsubstantiated rumors pushed by the insiders on this board. It's true that every board has it's share of idiots, but BN seems to be 99% idiots... and by idiots, I mean posters that give OSU fans a bad rep by being dumb, insulting, illiterate, completely unrealistic etc.
I don't htink anyone disagrees that the news posts on BN are good, but are they worth paying for when you can find just as good info on a free site like 11W, and when you can't have a rational discussion about that news on BN?

I agree with others in that a good portion of the news on BN is very good and well sourced, but the posters on that site are some of the worst around. Unfortunately as this site grows in popularity, you wil likelyl see more of the fringe migrate here simply due to the free nature of this board. Even though I do pay for BN, I come here first for news.
@Mullens- the rumors didn't start on IE, but they did eventually pop up there. A poster said that he had seen some stuff saying it wasn't over. A couple hours later someone signed up saying he was Elliott's dad and that the process was still going on, nothing is final until NSD or something to that effect. A mod confirmed that the poster was from the St Louis area. A couple hours later, the poster deleted his own post saying it was a mistake to say what he said. No one knows for sure if it was his dad or not, but that certainly didn't help with the rumors...
@TOLEDO, reread my post, please. i said the writers are great... but that the subscribers are awful.
Yeah...Bucknuts has gone downhill since the move to 247 unfortunately.
