Michigan gets their 8th commitment of this weekend and 11th overall for 2013 in OT Logan Tuley-Tillman. This one I am a bit jealous of as he is a very good one and offered by OSU. Hoke and Michigan having a very good weekend.

Wasnt LTT all Michigan for awhile?

This wasn't unexpected, but what the heck are they saying to these kids to get them to commit so quickly??? Never seen anything like it.
Never expected to get this guy, but was hopeful he would go elsewhere. How many Michigan OL is that in 2012 and 2013 thus far? Seems like at least 6
Yeah not unexpected but this has to stop NOW haha...I think the nature of recruiting is everything is happening earlier and earlier for these kids...pressure of not committing and not having a spot in the class is mounting so earlier commitments are bound to happen in the next few years
LTT makes it 8 for last year and this year so far, or what Bollman would call a good 5 year haul.
Does Michigans OL class with 3 OT and one OG make Pocic not consider Michigan simply because there is already 3 top OT's there?
Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens
A good philosphy from Mr. Pantoni given our limited spots for this class. No need to reach early for sure things and box youself out from more elite recruits down the line.
Agree with him, leaves you open to de-commits. However I agree with you Alex, this has to stop now!
This just makes me want Gibson, Heuerman, etc., to coordinate their commitments. I'm a bit jealous of Michigan's weekend (more of the number of commits than the quality, but it is certainly comprised of good recruits).
Soooo, is Meyer STILL dominating Hoke on the recruiting trail? I mean it's not like OSU wanted Thomas, Shallman, Fox and LTT anyway right? Those offers we're just for show weren't they? No biggie that Michigan has four head-to-head recruiting victories and has pulled 2 more of Ohio's top players in the class of '13 over the past 2 days, no biggie, everything will be fine. We just have to remind ourselves that The Urbanator poops gold and Columbus isn't a garbage dump. But alas, it doesn't matter anyway, because Hoke is going to die of Gout in the next month or 2 and Urban will once again prove to be the God he is by getting all of the scUMmy decommits...

Let's let Meyer complete his 2013 class before we talk smack....and let's also see where Thomas ends up next NSD :)
Then why are you so proud to be something you're not?
That is where you are wrong. scUM is the perfect word to describe a disgustingly assembled crop of talent that wears the trademark 'piss and blue'.
Edit: hahahaha...... and BigSwede comes in for the KILL!!!! haha
Please remember that it has been about 10 years since scUM has had anything to ''brag'' about so it's to be expected to that they will have a little pre mature ejaculation due to the recent events! We'll see how it turns out.
Lol, have to love a scUM fan with nothing better to do then troll 11W lol. Makes me laugh....but he/she (more likely she) will not get banned.
No they didn't do anything to cross the line.....I wish they were all like M Man though
I'm pretty sure most of us would agree we wouldnt mind having LTT, Fox or Thomas being buckeyes, so I think the scum fan needs to do some research before coming to conclusions.

@PROUDTOBESCUM
Look at your username man, it says it all.
Who cares who they landed this weekend. They need these O-Line recruits to have a prayer against the D-Line haul Ohio State has been landing. Urban is a better recruiter and he's better on X's and O's. Michigan can have the 2nd best recruiting, 2nd best coach, and 2nd best record every year. We aren't playing for second.
In response to Big Swede, My user name is a play to mock this board's policy of considering poorly conceived word play and classless, immature, feeble attempt at metaphor to actually be funny...And Alex, I really like 11W, you do a good job with your material, and are always one of the first to break news. My problem is with the irrationality and disillusion of some of your readers, not this website.

Charlton, Shallman and Butt didn't even have offers. I thought you guys were used to picking up our leftovers by now, but now I learn you're still excited about it?
Agreed again, just don't get what makes someone want to do that. Maturity, lack of anything better to do, and probably got beat up in school so has to run his yap over a computer to feel better is the only reasons I can think of lol.
And he keeps talking, amazing.....
To put it succinctly, you're basically admitting to trying way too hard
No matter what else happens this class that fat ass Hoke still recruited a guy named Taco. I wonder if there is a guy out there named Burger or Mc Donald he can add to this class as well.
ProudToBeALayerOfDirtOrFrothOnTheSurfaceOfALiquid is a tny bit upset... :( a thimble of rum should make the pain from teething go away. Poor baby...
I wouldn't consider it running my yap as much as attempting to silence the yap of buckeye nation. However, it's apparent that any rational argument (football related) will be met with talk of me getting beat up in school, premature ejaculating, and being a 2nd class citizen. And I'm the one who should be banned. #BuckeyeNation

P.s. Hoke likes food, and my lexicon Is probably bigger than yours. Berate and belittle me with material that I don't already know is true

Attempting to silence buckeye nation? even you know you can't do that..... and your probably did get beat up in HS, maybe some wedgies with possible bleeding from the anus.... But its ok to try and go to a Buckeye board and try to assert your dominance. I mean, hell, if I had to wear school colors of piss and blue I would try my hardest to make it seem like i matter
by the way, i am not mad, just having fun with this, just like you said... shit talking goes both ways
I'm pretty sure any hopes of a "rational argument" went out the window with the second half of your original post:
Clearly, your objective was not to have a "rational argument."
Awww....yah your post was so logical. We respect respectful banter (ie M Man) but a troll will be treated as such.
Guys just don't even provoke....not worth your energy....both Michigan and Ohio State will have great recruiting classes while Meyer and Hoke are there....let's see what that means each year on the football field
You're right M Tots, that section was satire. I just thought it might be as funny to y'all as OZone's article about Meyer's dominance was to me...

anyway, i gotta clean my room. Day off of work tomorrow is the only way I am productive on a Sunday.
Ay que vaina
As I said in my earlier post, Michigan has the 2nd best recruiter, and maybe 2nd best guy when it comes to X's and O's. They are poised for 2nd place in Michigan, and that's good enough up there I suppose.
JasonBuck, I'll show you the same respect you show my Coach and my University. Alex is right, this is pointless...50 weeks to signing day, we'll see what happens

@Proudtobescum:
I just hope you're man enough to show up here when we end up with the unanimously higher-ranked recruiting class in February 2013 just as we were for the 2012 class this year even though you started off higher-ranked. You're counting your chickens before they hatch. Talk all the smack you want, but deep down you know what Urban is capable of and what this team is capable of.
Let's hope to see you here a year from now.
Congrats. LTT has LONG been favoring Michigan. Congrats on Fox, the only other guy we really wanted. That isn't dominance by Hoke, you can have Ohio leftovers all you want (Butt, Charlton) with no OSU offers.
We need to remember also that we have a lot invested in those schools up north with coaches and players. There are too many D1 college players in Ohio for OSU. We need some of them to migrate north to keep those teams respectable. Meatchicken does not produce the talent that is needed to win in the B1G. Urban is a recruiting machine and getting the type of players that fit his system. Could not understand why Shallman got an offer, but scUM did get two good offensive linemen.
Hmm, and I thought 11w was finally going to be rid of trash talking spam monkeys. I'm done here, bye guys. *sighs*
S/O to Big Suede for absolutely nailing "ProudToBeScum"-- hahah the jacka** walked right into that one!
If you ain't a Silver Bullet, you're a target
Whoa, heated discussion, it is pretty early to be talking this much smack about the 2013 class that has 50 weeks to go. Proudtobescum, you are right Michigan had a great week congrats. But OSU has fewer scholarships to hand out they can't just start landing tons of players, and Michigan probably needs more help in different position then OSU anyway. Michigan only has 2 Ohio recruits right now, and OSU wasn't really recuting Butt, Shallman is 3rd on OSU's TE list, LTT was a recruit OSU wanted but it was known for awhile he was a Michigan Lean. The only real commit Michigan got that OSU wants is Thomas. We will see where everything ends up but I am willing to bet OSU's class ends up better than Michigan. And what do you expect to happen coming onto an OSU fan board?
proudtobescum - How can you be so arrogant to come on to the OSU board and accuse all of the OSU posters of being "considering poorly conceived word play and classless, immature, feeble attempt at metaphor to actually be funny", yet your screenname's tagline is "They say ignorance is just bliss, but for Ohio grads ignorance is a common personality trait..."? What are you even doing on here? When you return, please remind your coach that the school in Columbus is Ohio State, not Ohio. He seems to be incredibly confused, for some reason.
First things first: Proudtobescum, while I see humor in your post that most on this board will not, stop trolling. There is plenty of year left to go back and forth with Ohioans, but do it like a Michigan Man, please. This weekend was aMAIZEing for Michigan athletics, but even the best recruits are simply prospects, and we haven't even landed the best players we're after yet. Plus, we know Urban will land several 4* and probably some more 5* players that we covet (Jaylon Smith tops my list). With that said, I don't see Urban's aura being quite as magical this year as the novelty wears off and the Penn State scandal won't be a factor with 2013 recruits.
Again, enjoy the moment, but save the b*tch talk for ESPN chats.
Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!

It shows how much they need to import kids from Ohio to play on their football team. Let's not worry about what Jabba the Hoke is getting for two years down the road. And who gives a damn about what the pond scUM fans who troll this website are saying anyway. Remember the In Tressel We Trust adage? It now reads In Urban Meyer We Trust. I'll take anything Meyer gets over what TSUN recruits, even if they are from our state.
Is Urban Meyer's recruiting really novelty though? When has he ever not landed a huge class? Are you sure he would'nt have poached some of those Penn State recruits anyway? He poached recruits from Notre Dame, Michigan State, and Wisconsin as well. JoePa wasn't going to be coaching Penn State after this year, obviously, so who is to say that Spence or Schutt would've stayed in the fold for PSU.
Bottom line, Urban has already landed Burrows, Marshall, Woodard, and Price. Burrows, Marshall, and Woodard may end up being better players than Anyone in the 2012 class. There are still bigger fish to go after. This class is going to end up being better than the 2012 class. So, was 2012 just novelty and good luck that PSU had a down year? (not likely) Maybe, just maybe 2013 is going to be a continuation of what Urban has done every year. LAND MONSTER CLASSES. How come Michigan folks want to act as if 2012 was some kind of fluke that only resulted because of the mess at Penn State? Makes no sense to me.
Certain schools land top classes every year no matter what, schools like OSU,Michigan,Texas,Florida,Florida state. No matter what is going on they always land top recruits, so I don't see Meyer's novalty going away either. When michigan had down years with rich rod they still landed top recruits maybe not as much but top guys. And Michigan will always get Ohio guys because OSU can't take them all.
If anything, this is a testament to the H.S. football talent in the great state of Ohio.
isn't laquon treadwell expected to commit to michigan soon as well? if so then michigan really is tearing it up in recruiting, mounting a lead that will be tough to catch up to for sure. also, they're really doing well in illinois. urban needs to start recruiting that state a little harder, they've got quite a bit of talent. i'm sure he's got a plan though
speaking of which, what's the word on ty isaac?
Not sure about Treadwell, but Isaac is probably evenly split between OSU-MICH-ND.
And I'm pretty sure we'll be able to catch up with them. Once we get all the commits that most people believe are locks (which is what michingan did this weekend besides Fox) we'll be fine. We'll add guys like Gibson, Foster, Heuereman, Green, Smith, etc.
I'd be surprised if we have a lower ranked class then them come next Feb.
I would be surprised if we do have a higher ranked class than ttun. The rankings are skewed in favor of teams that sign more prospects. Our average prospect ranking will probably be slightly higher, but their overall ranking will be higher because of signing more prospects.
@Ausmos- Numbers aren't going to be an issue. The numbers of each of our classes will be pretty even, with OSU having the better talent.
If you ain't a Silver Bullet, you're a target
Michigan and Hoke are doing the right thing here. They need to offer a lot of kids early and get verbals ASAP knowing they aren't going to win as many battles for the kids that spend the time looking and visiting both places and coaches. Ohio State and Urban will continue to take more time with their offers, sign higher rated recruits at most positions and more 5 star guys. Urban will also offer some of the Ohio kids that jumped at the chance to commit to Michigan because they were scared no OSU offer was coming and didn't want to potentially lose their spot on the JV team as well. It's good to see both teams recruiting how they should. Michigan should always start faster and be a little less picky, and Ohio State can always be a little more discerning and finish stronger and higher in the rankings (especially in average stars per recruit).

Michigan landing the majority of it's 2012 class months before NSD allowed them to start looking to 2013 kids. I have no doubt that when Urban stepped in and nailed 12 or so big names (and the flips) in a 3 week stretch, Michigan took notice and that is in the back of the heads of the Michigan coaching staff. The combination of these two things resulted in early offers. But, the way I look at it, it's going to work to your advantage more times than not. At this point, the only one I question was TE/DE Khalid Hill out of detroit. He'll likely be a hybrid FB type and, as always, I trust Hoke and Co.
I have no problem relying on Ohio for 10 or so recruits a year; you're supposed to pull in kids from your pipelines. If all you Buckeyes think we're taking the leftovers that Urban wants, I'm fine with that. Personally, if I was a Buckeye I wouldn't think it was all that hilarious that Michigan got kids like Charles Woodson and Desmond Howard. But the truth is, neither Hoke or Urban are limited to any state, or region, for that matter.
Ty Issac will not end up a Buckeye, imo. Notre Dame still has a shot, but according to his tweets over the last couple of days, all signs point to a Michigan committment in early March when he visits with his mother. Nothing is guaranteed, but I'm feeling good after taking 2 of the top 4 out of Illinois in the last two days.
Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!
