I don't follow Pedo State's recruiting situations...would they be as high on Reeves were it not for Williams? Or do they view them as a package deal also? I know this has been discussed ad nauseum but wasn't sure if Pedo offered them seperate or simultaneously.

Jason - Absolutely not. At this point in the year, we have 2 things: Buckeye Basketball and football recruiting. BBall doesn't start til 8 so we have time to kill. Plus, given the action-packed week OSU recruiting has seen, it would be great to see the momentum keep rolling.

Tim May of the Dispatch believes a deal to finalize Reeves commitment could come today. What's your thoughts? He's down to TOSU and Mich? Why in your opinion would he choose one over the other?... And, has your belief in landing him wavered?

We should call up David Perkins as well to join the big 3 to visit Reeves tonight. Haha.

Why not send Fickel as well?

Why would Fickell be a better closer than a coach who will be coaching part of the secondary?  I'm just curious.

The SAT is one of the worst tests I've ever taken. Thought the ACT was much better.

The max SAT score is a 2400. 800 for Math, Reading, and Writing..

Didn't have to take SAT, took ACT instead, not bad.  The LSAT was horrible though

I did average on both, got my GMAT this saturday though. Not really nervouse, but anxious to get this bad boy completed

Doug Funnie--I hear you on the LSAT.  Worst test, though, was the Bar Exam after law school.  That was hell.

I used my fingers but did get 172 on lsat if memory is correct.

Just a pessimistic thought, but don't like that Mattison has last visit, think this one might be leaning towards Michigan now..... hopefully Urban proves me wrong.

Reeves is a CB and Cox is a Safety, still would go after Cox/Bradley

At this point, I feel like Diamond is the least likely of our remaining targets to commit. Marcus basically seems like he's in the bag. I'm confident we will get Reeves. Same with Dodson. Neal is up in the air unfortuntely. However, I have little to no confidence in Diamond, and if we get Dodson I'm fine with not getting him.

i read yesterday that we do not have to worry about scholarship numbers until the first day of practise in the summer  i would name the source but i do not remember.  the way we are losing kids to transfers i do not think this will be a problem  the only real question is who will we decommit once we reach 25

Alex, do you see 3 of them as highly probable to commit this week? If so, how likely? Those 3 I'm anticipating are Dodson, Reeves, & Marcus.

Supposedly according to a Michigan board, Victors, Withers and Vrabel showed up a bit early, and Urban came a bit late.

I can understand why he'd choose Michigan. He would be behind, at a minimum, Roby, Howard, and Grant for a corner spot. Michigan's secondary is still bad enough that he could start much sooner than he otheriwse would at OSU. Young kids just want PT ASAP these days, for better or worse.

No matter what life goes on for the Urban Machine.  Don't bash a kid because he's making a choice for himself and not for his friend.  It may be better to keep a scholly open for next year; no idea if Urban will do that but the only "need" imo is tackle anyway

Alex, will you be in contact at all with Reeves today?... Has Williams said anything of the situation, has he heard from the coaches (Williams).

If he came away from the visit w/o the needle moving towards OSU, it is likely imo that Mattison can close him pretty easily.

I'm skeptical of that but we'll probably know by tonight. 

how much does cam burrows factor into the whole thing? maybe knowing a beast of a corner is coming right behind him next year is factoring into all of it.

I thought I read a tweet that Armani would have liked the chance to play with Noah Spence. He could still make that happen! Did anyone else see that tweet as well? I don't have a twitter but I googled Armani's twitter and saw the tweet.

To sum it up, Reeves phrases how he feels
simply.
“Playing for either would be an honor,” Reeves
said. “Now I just have to figure out what is best
for me.”
The visits don’ t stop there though for the
talented Catholic Memoial High defensive back.
On Tuesday, Michigan defensive coordinator
Greg Mattison will visit Reeves in-home.
“Coach Mattison is a character,” Reeves said.
“And I have a great time with him every time we
meet.”
He added, “So I know the visit will be
interesting.”
Recently, Reeves took his official visit to both Big
10 foes, and came away impressed.
“Both visits were better than I expected,” Reeves
said. “Which doesn’t help me make my
decision.”
He continued, “I’ m just blessed to be in this
situation so I’ m going to enjoy it until it is time
for me to start working to win championships.”
There are a few things that set the two programs
apart for him.
“Ohio State has the exact major I want,’ Reeves
said. “And the coaches are top notch.”
And the Wolverines?
“Michigan is a great school,” Reeves said. “Plus
playing for Mattison would be a treat, he knows
what it takes to be successful.”
And success is something that Reeves hopes to
achieve, no matter where he chooses to play his
collegiate ball.

Just to clarify - I got these from a free site and did not poach them directly from rivals or scout. I know I'm walking a fine line and I apologize if I crossed it.

2 things: a.) the Black Shoe Diaries tweet - the could just be a bitter PSU fan trying to rile up Buckeyes fans because we've signed many of "their" recruits. I find it hard to believe that a kid could be THAT much of a primadonna and that self-absorbed with a sense of entitlement. I know there's a lot of that going on these, days, but c'mon - it's Urban Meyer --- and you're a kid whose yet to play a college down.

b.) If (that premise) is true....then that is not a guy I'd want to play for OSU.

Again, though, I highly question the validity of some bitter PSU blogger, writing stuff from his basement late on a weeknight.

Very disapointing if we don't get Reeves. Not because we're missing out on a great talent but because it flips all the momentum back to scUM for signing day. scUM could finish with Diamond, Garnett, Reeves and maybe Jordan Payton. Ouch!

Haha, OSU is still in it. Lots of misinformation out there on Reeves. He should decide in a few days. Listen to what Mattison has to say tonight and mull it over for a couple days if he needs to.

 None of the Meyer being late to the visit stuff was true. Still very much an Ohio State Michigan battle

No interviews whatsoever, and I assume his Twitter account is gonna be quiet until he decides where he wants to go. The next update you will see on this thread is where Armani will be playing ball at, hopefully sooner rather than later to put this to bed.

When you say he had his mind made up before Mattison meeting, it seems you are inferring that his mind is made up in that he wants to go to tOSU. Is that accurate?

It is simple math. 48 plus 3 is 51% and 52-3 is 49%. Quite frankly I am not even sure why it would not be 100% all Buckeyes, best friend, best friends family as godparents, DBU and his exact major.
