UFL Nighthawks Sign Clarett
Maurice Clarett's long strange trip has culminated with another shot at being a professional athlete.
The Denver Post is reporting that the UFL's Omaha Nighthawks have reached an agreement on contractual terms with Clarett following a weekend try out. A svelte, mentally right Clarett will now have the chance few thought he'd be afforded after a stint in prison. He'll join former NFL'ers Jeff Garcia, Ahman Green, Andre Hall, and Jeb Putzier as members of the Omaha based expansion team in professional football's newest (all intents and purposes) minor league.
Best of luck to Maurice going forward. Hopefully he takes opportunity and seizes it.

Well wishes.
I'm sorry for not being sorry.
Hopefully the Jewish Mafia doesn't have an Omaha chapter. Seriously though best wishes to him.
JT presser news isn't great. Nasty Nate out this week and Chimdi is questionable.
Don't f@#$ up this chance man. Good luck.
Good for him. I hope he rips it up out there, now that he seems to have his life headed in the right direction.
And we'll drink to old Ohio, 'Til we wobble in our shoes!
love the personalization of the new site. take no offense to my answers
cheers
I'm not calling it a comeback quite yet, but what a comeback it would be. I'm not sure that he'll ever be good enough for the NFL, but if he goes out there and rips it up, you know the Bengals love scrap heap guys like him.
I never really thought about this at the time, if he played through his sr year (woulda never happened anyway)...that was 2005. Pittman was good, but if we had Mo, Troy Smith as a Jr, Santo, Ginn, Gonzalez...what are people's thoughts about if we beat texas and PSU?
He would get us an extra yard or 2, and put us in 3rd and short a lot more than pittman, and mainly take pressure off troy/zwick. If we could play tresselball and run out the clock a little better we could have beaten both.
wasn't zwick on the field when we lost that texas game? not sure MoC would have made a difference, though you could say if he was there, maybe he would have been carrying the ball instead, but even he had a major fumble problem as a freshman (may have been cured by 05)
Zwick "started" and also lost a crucial fumble that sealed the game for Texas.
he was never seen or heard from again
Banned from ATO since June 3rd 2PMish PST
I hope he does well and contributes...good story going if he can keep it together.
I wish him well and hope he doesn't regress.
I don't always take names when I kick ass but when I do, they most often belong to a Wolverine.
Luke your the man! A celebrity in my mind. Wouldn't think of anything like that without provocation. Help me out, send a letter to JT and tell him I want to play Linebacker for him. I can run a 4.6 (Sub 4.7). I can bring the nasty, to that squad I am just a little old lol.

Email Gene Smith and he will "consider your feelings"
If Denard Robinson isn't careful with spooning all that food into his mouth, he's going to end up lookin' like Whoopi Goldberg
LOL....Sarcasm Noted.

Best wishes to him, we wouldn't have won the title without him.
Honestly, I'd rather see him finish his degree if he can.
Sounds like those doors will always be open. He won't have a chance to play professional football an awful lot much longer.
indeed, it's already been 8 yrs since he played in a real game, and 5 yrs since he practiced with the broncos. Time's running out on that, he can always take classes during the offseason, or after he's retired
I wish him the best, and SC better cover him if he rushes for a bijillion yards in that league, which I wouldn't be surprised. The anger is coming out folks!
