On the heels of FootballScoop.com reporting incessant rumblings about Nick Saban's unhappiness in Tuscaloosa (and a prediction Saban pulls up his stakes after this season), comes this:

From CollegeFootballTalk.com:

“We haven’t finished the season in the last two seasons like we’d like,” Saban said to ESPN’s Paul Finebaum. “People talk about you won four national championships. Well, I feel like we’ve had good enough teams to win eight. So I feel like we failed four times. I feel like I failed four times.”

That's the thing about the relentless drive that made him successful: It's quite the impediment to happiness. Nobody would fault Saban for being proud of four national championships, but it seems like the ones he didn't win affect him the most. (Such is sports.)
