Stoney Dropping Reminder Bombs
Asked at the NFL Combine about The Rivalry, Stoneburner quickly announced with a smirk, "I got four pairs of gold pants."
Preparing for the NFL Draft at Performance Enhancement Professionals in Scottsdale, alongside former Wolverines Craig Roh, Kenny Demens and J.T. Floyd, Stoneburner took the opportunity to get in some verbal jabs:
"There were three Michigan guys there, and they had nothing to say because I had four pairs, and they beat us one time, and it came on a down year -- and they barely even beat us that year. The last one, to end my senior year, at home, beating them, going 12-0 -- that's something I'll never forget."
Informed he had erroneously lumped in former Sparty William Gholston with the group of Wolverines, Stoneburner replied:
"I guess that's Michigan State. Same area -- still sucks."

They're getting desperate. The Buckeye program has passed them up as the gem of the north and they absolutely cannot handle being a consolation prize, especially to their bitter rival.
Continually bringing up past glory days is something that exposes their current shortcomings even more. Michigan fans are the old men at the neighborhood sports bar who still think their high school football achievements are what they should be measured by. Live in the present and deal with reality like an adult.
That guy was a 5 star recruit out of High school. Once saw him score 4 touchdowns in a single game. Too bad he married that red head it all went down hill after that. Last seen in a mall outside chicago selling shoes.

Yeah can't believe he'd wear such s&g glasses. I mean that Ann Arbor hs team was considered the best football team in Ann Arbor at the time. It was an amazing upset. It featured freshmen sensation Larry "lateraling leather" McGwin, and Bernie "Brace-Face" McGillicuddy

The way the big guy pulled away from their DBs (esp. S #27) left me thinking' "what if" . Burner indeed.
In all fairness to PSU, it does look like #12 at the bottom of the screen was gaining yards on him quite nicely. He had no chance at all to catch Stoney from his position, so I wonder if he was just running to check his speed vs. Stoney's on the film later.

What's funny is the posts of the scUM fans in response to this story. The usual Tressel & Urbz are the biggest cheaters of all time. Oh lil RR was so bad you took advantage of that time period. Yada yada yada! I got some great laughs. We will dominate them for the next 10 years and they know it deep down inside and it is KILLING them!

I love Stoneburner and all, but thinking of it from their side they have a strong case to mock him as well...
... and football isn't an individual sport but rather a team sport. Can't measure everyone's contribution in stats - especially where Jake excelled by be being an excellent blocker.
I'm just saying that they had a comeback if they wanted it. Jake was supposed to emerge as a pass catching TE and he didn't. Why, I have no idea... just pointing out the fact if I were him I'd hold back a bit. Hope he kills it at the combine and shows as much or more promise than other OSU TE's

People on that board are quick to point out that 3 of the 4 wins Stoney had over TSUN were in TSUN down years. Yeah, here's the difference. In those 3 TSUN down years, OSU dominated TSUN each time - two 30+ point wins in Columbus and an 11 point win in Ann Arbor. In the 1 OSU down year, TSUN was a Braxton overthrow to Posey away from losing at home.
When you bring up the all-time record card and the cheaters card, you know you have no argument and your rival owns your ass.
