Not trying to troll at all, but is it possible that his draft stock has fallen a little recently? I understand he's a good player, but I wouldn't compare him to Joe Thomas quite yet.
You realize they just lost Gholston, Bell, and Dion Sims, right? That's in addition to 2 starters on the OL and Johnny Adams and Chris Norman. They bring back Dennard and Bullough, but other than that, they're still young at receiver and QB.
Not guaranteeing victory or anything, but Sparty is taking a pretty big hit this year.

Sounds like a lot of deflection in this thread. It's ridiculous to say it's a bad decision for kid to stay in school. Maybe he wants to be the number one tackle or is set on being a top 5 pick. It's wrong to say it's a horrible decision to come back to get your degree; to be a leader to this up and coming group of inexperienced lineman. It's pretty admirable, in all actuality.
I don't see anyone saying Roby is an idiot for returning for not entering the draft. He was projected early 20's in the 1st round, last I saw. It was said repeatedly that this year is a down CB class. So don't be hypocritical because he's not wearing scarlet and gray.
And no, Lewan's return doesn't guarantee anything. No one is talking about running the table or anything like that. But to discount what a consensus All-American, B1G lineman of the year, All-conference left tackle means to a program is unsightly, at best.

I tend to agree with most of this. It would have been hard to blame him for going and I tend to think that if you are top 15 you should probably strike while the iron is hot. But if he wants to come back, good for him. I'd rather someone come back when they shouldn't than go out when they shouldn't regardless of their colors.
All I want is for Kalis to be on the field. That will be enough bulletin board material for the next 4 years for our dline. You know, with all the blood and all. Lewan will make as much difference as he did in this years game.
Remember what happened when Jake Long came back for his senior year? He single-handedly turned Vern Gholston in to a top 10 pick. Good thing for us, Adolphus and Noah will only be true sophomores.
Tyler Lewan is a very good player, as Hail2 said. B1G lineman of the year, AA. Although, TRB is a little perplexed he did not go pro, solely due to the fact that this is a weak draft class for OL. Yes, stud tackles are always at premium in the drafts, but basically it was Joecke/Matthews (both from A&M) then Lewan in terms of OTs. He would've gotten top 20 money, that is for sure. Anyways, good luck to him (except against OSU), I'm sure he will enjoy his last year at UM.

Well crap. Guess we'll have to beat you again.
Dustin Fox was our leading tackler as a corner.... because his guy always caught the ball.
Trying to do his best Jake Long impression. Instead of the Gun Show, will it be Spence?
hes nutz cause this draft class sucks. he would be high quality this year
I dont know karate but i do know crazy and i'm not afraid to use it.
&
Those who stay will lose to Ohio State.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.

Yeah, not sure this is a swift move.
Mr. Clowney says stay in school, Taylor.
Actually, the kid held his own vs Clowney for the majority of the game.
He's counting on getting that second win against Little Brother.
To err is human. Really sucking requires having yellow stripes on your helmet.
little brother will win this in 13

Another year of third string for magnusson and his buddy kalis!
So redshirts are 3rd string? Kalis will likely start at guard. Since you're concerned about Michigan's depth I've included this for you.

I'm usually a proponent of kids finishing their senior year but this has got to be the dumbest decision I've ever seen!
1. WAY too easy for a lineman to tear a knee
2. Weak draft this year
3. He actually played well against Clowney so his stock was high
4. YOU PLAY FOR MEATCHICKEN, WHAT ARE YOU COMING BACK FOR? A SHOT AT GOING 9-4!
"Because I couldn't go for 3"
Doesnt matter - UM will lose 2-5 games next year.
