agree. It is as if Kentucky basketball started when Cal hit town. For crying out loud, you're Kentucky! At least act as if you have won something before. It really stood out with the mural in the hallway.
in addition, it could be some very expensive remodelling in there, if the NCAA ever decides there was something shady going on. Considering Cal's track record, I would make sure I keep the contractor's phone number on my contact's list.
You know, back in the 80's when they were in so much trouble, the school pretty much stripped down Wildcat lodge because it was too luxurious. This new suite and the recently upgraded player dorms and facilities are awesome and everything, but the excess they are allowing around the program is going to lead to some trouble down the road.
I thought it was funny that he tried to push on the door when he needed to pull. And when he was showing off the white board wall, he couldn't get the markers back in their tray. :-)
It's a new facility, so it's understandable. I just thought it was funny...
To me it looks more like a museum than a locker room or usable area. Things go a little too far sometimes. I'm sure some players/recruits love that stuff though.
So if they win another championship, would they replace the floor in the locker room with the floor form the most recent year? I guess that would be a good problem to have for them, but it seems like they aren't thinking ahead to me. Other than that, I think it is going to be a crazy recruiting tool for their basketball team.

too much emphasis on last year's team, instead of the program overall, for my liking. still cool though

All that being said, it is a cool set up.
Goody for them

Christian Laettner never needed a fancy locker room.
Christian Laettner was/is also a mega-douche. What he needed is irrelevant.
This is very similar to the new UCLA locker rooms in Pauley Pavilion.
