A $67,800 loan to then senior forward Lance Thomas could lead to a giant headache for Mike Krzyzewski and Duke. (yahoo.com)

Jim Calhoun and John Calipari seem to get away with alot, while I remember Randy Ayers getting hit hard for paying for a player's dinner, so yeah, the NCAA is hard to figure.

This looks like a very stupid jewler and a very stupid person found eachother in this crazy world.  Why you would want 90k in jewlery is beyond me, why you would let somebody walk out the door with 90k worth of merchandise for 30k and a "dude I can totally get the rest in 15 days" is also beyond me.  Unless they can find some university, booster or agent involvement I'd say the NCAA is best to just let it go.

If Duke had no knowledge of this I don't see how Lack of Institutional Control comes in play and without that idk how you start stripping national titles.

If that's the case let's infiltrate Michigan with a Heisman quality qb and then just pay him in gold and then send the NCAA after them. It wouldn't matter if scUM knew about it or not

You don't need LOIC to strip titles. Simply playing an ineligible player will do it.
