If Ohio State went with a new brand what would you rater have? Addidas? Under Armor? Reebok?
I would like to see what Under Armor would artistically come up with for our uniforms...personally I hate our uniforms now....I miss the 2005 unis with the gray in the stripe...but going by history Ohio State changes their uniforms every 10-12 years so we may be approaching a new design in the years 2016 or so.
^++++ I remember reading and article about Auburn almost backing out of their UA deal because they were trying to get crazy with stipes. Auburn basically told them to F*** off. We won't ever leave NIKE, but I'd say adidas. They tend to respect tradition.
Dustin Fox was our leading tackler as a corner.... because his guy always caught the ball.
Hooray for normal offseason conversations where we bitch about the uniforms!!
I'd prefer under armor, if only because it seems more young and groundbreaking than Adidas or Reebok. My dad wears reebok. Michigan wore (wears? I forget) adidas. So under armor by default.
When told OSU set school record for 50+ games this year, UFM said "That's good. We're gonna break that next year."
You're not the only one. I remember when they switched, it was the biggest travesty that had EVER happened to OSU football. I was being totally serious when I said, thank god we don't have other horrid things going on that we have to discuss nonstop, that we can get back to things that are, once put in perspective, pretty trivial.

Hey, way to stand your ground. I don't think the jerseys sales will be hurting too badly to drive a change, though. So you're wearing Mike Doss's #2, not Rod Smith's, right?

Those uniforms are pretty badass, actually. NW should always use black in their uniforms in some way. Purple and black is always a pretty cool combo, but for a while, they were only using purple, and it didn't have the same cool factor. The stripes are the only thing I'd delete.
And I'm with Thorvath, especially on our home uniforms. Bring back gray stripes, please! At least our current away uniforms have them.
Exactly! If you look good, you play good. Unless you're a frickin nerd. The best looking player at tryouts still sucks if they understand Quantam Physics significantly more than the read option. But hell, I mean maybe the jerseys will give them an extra spark when they are studying for midterms this fall. I do like the away jerseys for sure, homes are okay, but it's still Northwestern. Why did they even bother? I mean I guess they can hold onto 2004 until the end of time. Won't change a damn thing :)
I like the unis. Except for the purple part. So glad my favorite teams have perfect color schemes and don't go messing with their uniforms all the time. I can't imagine having a bunch of purple swag in my closet.
eh, it works for the Lakers, Vikings, Kansas State.... umm I guess I can't really think of any others actually. Yeah purple swag sucks nvm what I just said.
However, diehard Buckeye fan that I may be (scarlet and gray are my favorite colors for God's sake), you can't really wear the scarlet all that much. It sticks out like a sore thumb where I'm from, but I'm sure it's plenty different in Ohio, especially Columbus, especially on Saturdays (at least I know this one first hand). But yeah it's all Black and Gold and Green and Gold out here even though CU and CSU are absolutely F'in terrible every year. That's why everybody in Denver loves the Broncos.
NW is lobbying for a 2nd place team in the Legends division to play in the B1G Campionship game. They think the Leaders Division is weak due to us and PSU ineligible, like our records won't count. Maybe they can wear these jammies when they're watching the championship from their respective bedrooms.

Horizontal stripes make you look fat.

Honestly, I think they look pretty cool... The stripe is different but it's definitely better than duck feathers or chrome domes
Being fat makes you look fat...
I actually kinda like them

No for the torso stripe. That just looks off.
not digging the stripes....
i love the horizontal stripe, but it works much better on the away jersey
I like them, minus the stripe.

Question: If NW changes their football uniforms, but nobody notices or cares, did it really happen?
I kid, I think they look cool.

i think they are legit...ONLY at Northwester. Any other school with that stripe would look ridiculous but it does work for them
"Winter is coming" - Urban Meyer
The white with the purple horizontal stripes makes the player look like a giant old school tube sock.
LOL. :-) I hadn't thought of it that way...
My thinking was that if they wanted a stripe, they should put it on the helmet like all the COOL football programs do. :-)
Real fans stay for Carmen.
Those are actually kind of slick..

We'd probably be engulfed in the Ohio state flag if Under Armour had their way...

I've been screaming about the gray stripe for years. Weird thing is that it's only the scarlet jerseys that don't have it. The gray jerseys do.

I won't buy a scarlet jersey until they change it.
* edit: only bought one jersey ever... 1995, #27, so I probably wouldn't buy one at this point anyways...

No no... 27. Eddie.
Is it massive numbers jersey? There was a period in time where our numbers were like 2.5 feet tall.

it looks to me like a lot more creative calories were burned on the making of that "behind the deisgn" video than on the actual jerseys.
less is more, unless less is a horizontal stripe across the torso.
swing hard in case you hit it.
Those uniforms will make them look so much smarter than their old ones.

Taquitos.
No sir, our early 2000s jerseys look boss in Scarlet/Gray.
i dig these, the Northwestern stripe looks sharp, and it's about time NW trots out in something other than a template.
The Northwestern stripe is a classic look (a large number of teams use them on their socks)... glad to see UA did their homework
I think it looks better on the away, but you can't do the stripe in white as it would break up the top too much.

Those look like a gym sock I've been missing since 1986.
I actually like them for Northwestern. It fits them. It's an old school look. Otto Graham would be proud.
Dustin Fox was our leading tackler as a corner.... because his guy always caught the ball.
Just missing the monograms.

I see their second game is with Vandy. It would be interesting to see the average ACT score of that matchup.
Uniforms aren't bad, either.
To err is human. Really sucking requires having yellow stripes on your helmet.
