Nicely played, but the only victory over OSU he'll ever have

I wonder if Coach Meyer will put pics like this on the video of "The Game" that is played in the locker room.

Truth be told, the real reason he burned the mailer was not because he was 'dissin Ohio State; it was because the letter included several polysyllabic words, which caused his brain to hurt, making him frustrated and angry.

After burning the letter, he watched You Tube clips of a Jabba interview. Jabba's "uhhmmms, "ahhhs," and "oohhhs" brought Logan Tully-Tillman back to his happy place.

This would be a lot funnier if the envelope the letter came in hadn't misspelled "Peoria."

When hardworking Ohio State students are not training to someday save the lives of heart patients or injured horses, or to run Fortune 500 companies, they pay for college tuition by working as interns in campus offices - addressing, stamping, and sealing envelopes, etc.

Michigan grads sue them for making typos.

OhioBornMichiganBred's picture

And win.

Also, let's not forget that Michigan's business school and medical school are among the tops in the country - they're studying to run Fortune 500 companies and save the lives of heart patients, too. You've got me on the horses thing, though.

You're right, Michigan has excellent business and medical schools. But, in the case of the UM business school, its main purpose is to prepare its grad students to be future professors of economics, finance, management, who in turn train the Ohio State students to run the Fortune 500 companies. If there are any major companies being run by UM grads, they probably make most of their money using UM lawyers to litigate and UM lobbyists to ride on taxpayers.

Just kidding - UM is a great school.

Run_Fido_Run, you made me curious as to where most Fortune 500 CEO's got their degrees.  It is ridiculous how much Harvard dominates this metric.  Nobody else is even close.  With that said, Michigan is 5th on the list.  The only other two representatives from the B1G are Indiana and Northwestern who are tied at 10th place.  Sadly, tOSU didn't make the list, so we don't know where they fall.  If you are curious, feel free to visit the link below.

Was there any of this during Rodriguez's tenure?  I don't recall this much trash talk, from recruits in particular, during his three years.  Or perhaps I wasn't paying attention because they were irrelevant.  And were Carr's recruits this mouthy?  I'm just wondering if there is a renewed emphasis on the rivalry at scUM or if it's always been like this but we hear about it more because of social media and whatnot.  Either way, I like it.  Hoke is giving them a different mindset, which despite it being all talk for now, can actually translate to success on the field.  However, I like even more that our players and recruits don't seem to reciprocate in kind, at least not as frequently.  Shut your mouth and act like you've been there before is a much more effective mindset.

Hoax, has got everyone  in AA (I'm 10 milles North) whipped into a frenzy, because he's brought back MICHIGAN FOOTBALL.!! In my mind a "euphemism" for crushing teams you're supposed to, pulling games out of their ass (LY, V OSU, ND, AND the Sugar Bowl), and then woof about it like you just won the NC.  Don't for get about their great Rose Bowl "efforts". (the biggest reason I like SC.  They alway humliate M, which makes my day , year, month, insert whatever!).

This guy's pool of creativity / originality is so shallow, all he can do is mimic Blo.  Yeah Blo, of the;  No NC's, a 2-9 Bowl Record and you read it here, 8 of his 12 Big Ten tiltes shared.   The funny thing is, Hoax won with Rich Rod's players.

This year he's more on his own.  I wonder what Dennard will be "spooning up" this year, when they come down to Cbus to face Urban and the boys.....  and whoever claims they don't remember OSU guys acting in such a fashion, you're right.  THEY'VE BEEN THERE BEFORE, and they ACT LIKE IT!!!!

Which do you think is going up in flames faster? That letter from OSU or his chance to win the Big Ten?

To err is human. Really sucking requires having yellow stripes on your helmet.

I find it interesting that a good amount of um's recruits are doing things like this/talking shit while our guys are going about their business for the most part.

BlueBayou's picture

tOSU guys have done things, just not getting the same kind of press.  Both Price and Bosa have been vocal.  Burrows has also been picking on his buddy Mccray.  The only things that seem to get a media buzz are the items that have pictures.  The most publicized have been Burrows prank to Mccray's car, the Shane Morris photobomb, and now LTT's burning of his tOSU letter.  All three of these got the most press and also had pictures associated with them.  A coincidence?  I think not.

The truth is, a majority of the recruits from both sides have been having fun with each other over the rivalry and it has all been harmless.  None of the things done have been of a personal nature.  I don't think what LTT did is a big deal and people need to relax.

Last year I watched the worst OSU offense I've seen in my 30 years of OSU fandom darn near beat Michigan in their house. Two-time national champ coach Urban Meyer just by all accounts instilled a sense of whoop-ass in the hearts and minds of Buckeye players. I literally cannot wait to watch Michigan get slaughtered at the Shoe.

its our bowl, they're overconfident after a win they were lucky to get, and we're flat- out the better team. It is going to be sweet.

I'm calling it right now at 48 to 17 Bucks. You heard it here first.
