Not a shock

"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.

Agreed. Not a shock but still near criminal. Dude is easily a HOF'r.

Him and Charles Haley; a crime...the HOF is jacked up in their process.

Stupid ass hell he is Middletown's finest athlete. He should be in the hall of fame. I expect Jalin Marshall to have the same kinda career in the pros

I think he slept with everyone's wife and then beat their children. that is the only reason they cannot put him in the hall. He's arguably the 2nd best wideout ever.

If Michael Irvin is a first time selection than CC is. Irvin was (probably still is) a coke head and slept with underage prostitutes. That was probably a habit formed while playing at the U. His off the field issues cannot be any worse than CC's. CC had the best hands in the history of the NFL.

The hall is a joke for not putting him in.

It wasn't the HOF committee's fault. They told Cris Carter they wanted to elect him this year, but they needed him to write some background "human interest" material on his life after football. Cris wasn't comfortable writing about himself, so he asked his son Duron to write it for him.

Well, Duron kept procrastinating, flaking on the project. The night before the deadline, he sat down with pen and paper, but then his roomies can home with a case of Natty Light, and started a game of low-stakes poker, and that was that.

The next day, Duron called the HOF committee to ask for an extension, but the committee was tired of his antics.

I'm oscilating between "ha ha that's hilarious!" and "...wait, that probably could have happened."

CC deserves to be in the HOF buit I dont care in the least whether he gets it or not.  When I think of former OSU players who I think best embody what it means to be a BUCKEYE Chris Carter doesnt come to mind.

I would take a roster full of Brian Rolles over a roster full of Chris Carters ANYDAY, ALL DAY.

I Hate Michigan.

That's a lot of linebackers

And fullbacks. lol

(Rolle was a FB/RB in high school)

Rolle had more TD's than CC had tackles!

CC did something stupid. Owned up to it like a man and said he regrets his decision more than anything else he has ever done. Dude has earned back the respect of some of his teammates from those years and deserves to be in the hall.  He may have been the best receiver of all time.  Lets remember he had old Warren Moon, Randall Cunningham, jeff george, brad johnson, and dante culpepper throwing him the ball.  That is only slightly worse than Montana and Young

I don't know the process on how the HOF votes members in and what criteria they need in order to make someone a HOFer, but it is a travesty that he hasn't been voted in yet.  Here is a man who was third all time in receiving yards when he retired,  second all time in touchdowns, and second all time in receptions.  If that doesn't qualify what does?  I know Irvin had 3 championships, but he didn't do that on his own.  He had a very good qb, great rb, great line, great head coach, and great defenses.  I don't want to take away from his accomplishments, but I hate when people use that as the determining factor as to who gets in and who doesn't.  Carter's numbers exceed his in all aspects and it is a crying shame he has to go through this process every year when he should've been elected the first time up. It just baffles me.  The same goes for Edward DeBartolo.  I know his end of ownership of the 49ers was mired in controversy, but his teams won 5 championships.  No other owner can say the same with the exception of Mr. Mooney.  I know it isn't a life or death situation, but give those who have earned the distinction their due.  Congrats on those who were selected.  It is well deserved.
