My son's middle name was almost Tressel. I left the hospital regretting that I didnt put that on his birth certificate. Now, not so much.

Our first is due in early September. Thankfully I have a wife that would smack some sense into me if I tried to name the kid after an active OSU coach.

It's never to late to change a name. Maybe D'Tressel or Letressel? A little urban flare yet not too far off from the original.

As a general rule I think it's best to use family names if you're gonna try and have a legacy. That way if there's some sort of scandal involving the namesake the shame circle is smaller.

My wife and I have a deal that she got to name our kids and I get to name our pets.  There is a 100% chance that our next dog will be James Patrick Tressel.

they should have been embrassed about this BEFORE all of this trouble.  If you are gonna name your kid after someone, make sure that someone is dead.  you just never know.

Not the first time. I recall there was young lady on the homecoming court(?) in the 90's named Scarlet Ann Gray.  Also made news when she was named at birth.  No, she did not end up in pornos....

How many kids in Alabama do you think have been named Bear.  They probably have the most Bear's per capita than any other geographic region on the planet.  Including Montana where they have actual bears running around lol.

Not as many as you'd think. Though nicknames on the other hand, there be may of those.
