Eddie George Comin At Ya

Eddie George is getting another accolade on his venerable jacket. The star footballer, restaurateur and play actor will be inducted into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame on May 17th.

The 1995 Heisman trophy winner was the 14th overall pick by the then-Houston Oilers in 1996. He was named Rookie of the Year and was a four-time Pro-Bowler. His Titans came within a yard of winning Super Bowl XXXIV. (Super Bowl and college national championship are pretty much the only accolades Eddie never earned.)

/Salute to Eddie George, a bonafide Ohio State legend.

My favorite Buckeye of all time. Total class act. Damn that 1995 offense was AMAZING!

Same here, without question. I was a full-blown Titans bandwaggoner for ~7 years solely because of how much I loved watching him run and how badly I wanted to see him win it all.

I know this is a Eddie thread, but that 80 something yard TD pass to Terry Glenn has to be in the top 5 pass plays of all time.

I still remember that game! It's one of my all-time favorites. +1 for the Friday afternoon distraction.

I'm not finished!  Before we let you leave, your commander must cross that field, present himself before this army, put his head between his legs, and kiss his own arse.

Loved the Highlights!  Eddie of course but it was cool to see Terry Glenn, Orlando Pace, Rickey Dudley at TE. 1995 was the first year I lived in Nashville but I made it back for both the Notre Dame and Illinois games.
Even though I have lived in Nashville since 1995, I never considered going to the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame....This May that will change.

Eddie has more trophy's and awards after he retired than most players get while they're playing.

Went down to Nashville a couple weeks ago to see Eddie in Othello. It was a good time and Mr. George did not disappoint. That man can do anything.

Eddie was truly a great buckeye. Great college career, great pro career, great off the field track record. He may have been the best rb I've seen play in the S&G.

O-H-I-O  for life

I never had anything against the St. Louis Rams until they stole my favorite players' Super Bowl Ring.
