This is probably the greatest GIF ever made.

ESPN's Brett McMurphy is reporting Louisville's Charlie Strong has notified his athletic director he intends to leave the school to take the Texas job.

Texas is expected to announce Strong's hiring Sunday, with a news conference to follow on Monday.

During conversations about the job, Strong impressed Texas with his commitment to the total student-athlete, a source said. The Longhorns were also impressed by individuals both inside and outside of football who vouched for Strong, according to the source.

Strong met with Jurich on Saturday night for less than an hour at Strong's Louisville home, a source said.

Although Strong made time to inform Tom Jurich, Louisville's athletic director, his players found out the new-fashioned way, via a mobile  alert:

(Who wants to be the one to tell McGriff-Culver that iOS 7 is out, too?)

Strong replaces Mack Brown, who stepped down after 16 seasons in Austin, the last four of which saw his teams go 30-21.
