According to a Complex article released this afternoon, Evan Turner has opened his own clothing store — Madison-USA — on north High Street in Columbus.

Sitting at the corner of 5th & High in the Short North, the store name is based off a popular shopping strip in Chicago near where Turner and his co-owners, Jelani Floyd and Jarrel Tolbert, grew up.

Among brands sold in the shop — which will feature lifestyle streetwear for men —the most notable are Levi's, Carhartt WIP as well as some of Turner's personal go-to choices like Wave, Death To Tennis, Head of State and Bootleg is Better among others.

The store's opening day is today Sept. 29, but Turner & co. have been pumping the store in the weeks prior to its official opening, holding pop-up shops and promoting the store on his Instagram.

Headed into the second year of four-year, $70 million deal with the Blazers, Turner is expanding on life outside of basketball, taking on personal projects outside of his career. He's starting in a good place with Madison-USA along the bevy of shops in the Short North, less than a mile from the school that helped get him there.

Always strive and prosper...
