I think Chris Holtmann is going to do a lot better than many might expect, but as we discuss on the Dubcast this week, even that might not be enough to satisfy the expectations that have been placed upon him by Gene Smith and company.

Holtmann has a daunting task; he's going to be expected to elevate the program to the level that it was at the height of the Thad Matta years and keep it there, something that no coach in Ohio State basketball history has been able to achieve. And while we think the guy will do well, time will tell if "well" is enough for the powers that be at Ohio State and (frankly) fans of the program. Will we be able to tolerate a rebuild that takes a few years? Not getting to the NCAA tournament every single season? "Only" winning the B1G tournament once every four or five years?

It's high drama and it starts in just a few months, and even sooner if you're thinking about recruiting. Interesting stuff.

Plus, Ask Us Anything is back! Hooray! You can ask us anything on Twitter or via e-mail, and we'd also love it if you could rate and subscribe to us on iTunes.

0:00- THE DEED IS DONE. HOLT-MANN COMETH. We go back and forth in this conversation a lot, so I'm not going to break it down minute by minute, but the role that Gene Smith played in this hire is a major topic of conversation.

25:20- Ask Us Anything is back with a vengeance! Come to Kyushu, it's baller.

And that does it for the Dubcast this week! Thanks to you for listening, thanks to Travis for our logo, and if you want to help us out, check out our Dry Goods store.

Oh, and don't forget about our efforts to get a statue of Woody Hayes put up in Newcomerstown, which is something we'd love for you to be a part of. Check out the info here.

See you next week!
