From one-handed grabs to commercial shoots, Jeremiah Smith is doing it all.
This week, one of his top sponsors, Battle Sports, dropped a “This Is SportsCenter”-style ad featuring Smith as the star.
In the spot, the Ohio State wide receiver is shown working at his desk and hauling in passes from a pitching machine at “JJ Enterprises.” At one point, he flashes a double bird at Darien Rencher when the I AM ATHLETE host walks in wearing a maize-and-blue tie.
The commercial closes with South Florida youth football standout Roderick Louis III — better known as Lil Rod — impressing an onlooking Smith. When a co-worker asks Louis to “do a release,” he slaps the man’s hands, sending the paperwork flying. Louis and Smith then celebrate with the Scuba dance.
“That is a good release,” Smith quips.
Smith also reminds his employees that JJ Enterprises is like him on a football field: Always open.
Battle Sports is one of many NIL partnerships Smith has secured during his Ohio State career. His other deals include Ricart Automotive, American Eagle, Lululemon, Red Bull, Nintendo, Adidas, 7-Eleven and KeyBank, helping him reach an NIL valuation of $4.2 million, according to On3 and Rivals.
