When the team took the field for the intrasquad scrimmage, every player sported the "Heritage Stripes" — with scarlet jerseys for the offense, white for the defense and black for the quarterbacks. The look has already ignited a firestorm on X, with fans flooding the feed with reactions before the game begins.

The Heritage Stripes were last seen on a much bigger stage: Ohio State’s 2024 National Championship win over Notre Dame. That title game appearance ended a two-year hiatus for the gray sleeves, which had previously been shelved since the Buckeyes' 2022 Peach Bowl loss to Georgia.
