What an incredible evening Thursday was for Sonny Styles.

The former Ohio State linebacker posted some of the best numbers in the history of the linebacker position at the NFL Scouting Combine, posting a 43.5-inch vertical leap, 11-foot-2 broad jump and 4.46-second 40-yard dash, all of which led linebackers at the combine. His vertical leap set a record for a prospect over 240 pounds.

Fellow linebacker Arvell Reese also impressed, equaling Styles with a 4.46-second 40-yard dash

The combine has also given us the opportunity to catch up with all of Ohio State’s top prospects from last year’s team. We’ve been struck by the (warranted) confidence of the likes of Caleb Downs, Carnell Tate and Kayden McDonald, who all believe they’re the draft’s best player at their respective positions.

The 2025 Buckeyes also hyped up plenty of players returning to Ohio State in 2026, including Jeremiah Smith, Julian Sayin, Payton Pierce and Zion Grady, among others. Ohio State’s defenders made it clear just how big an impact Matt Patricia made on them last season, while Mike Vrabel gave Buckeye fans reason to be excited about new offensive coordinator Arthur Smith.

Eleven Warriors’ Dan Hope and Andy Anders share all of their top takeaways from the NFL Scouting Combine on a new episode of Press Coverage, which you can watch in the video at the top of the page.
