Quincy Porter is headed to Notre Dame.

The former Ohio State wide receiver committed to Notre Dame on Monday, becoming just the second transfer the Irish have landed since the transfer portal opened on Jan. 2.

A five-star recruit and the No. 23 overall prospect in the 2025 class, Porter entered the transfer portal on Tuesday and visited Notre Dame last week. He’ll now spend up to three years catching passes for the Irish, which returns CJ Carr as a redshirt sophomore in 2026.

Porter made five appearances for the Buckeyes in 2025 and recorded four catches for 58 yards. He missed several games due to an undisclosed injury.

Porter’s commitment to Notre Dame could carry a silver lining for Ohio State. Fellow former Buckeye wide receiver Mylan Graham also visited the school last week, but his recruitment may no longer be trending toward the Irish. On Monday, 247Sports’ Tom Loy reported that the 2024 five-star may be experiencing a change of heart about leaving Ohio State. Loy cited the Buckeyes’ recent personnel movement and “a strong financial offer” as reasons Graham could return to Columbus in 2026.
