Brandon Inniss is staying at Ohio State for his senior season.
The Ohio State wide receiver announced Thursday that he will be back with the Buckeyes for his final year of collegiate eligibility.
“I got business to handle. I’m back,” Inniss said in a graphic announcing his return.
Inniss will be one of two returning starters in Ohio State’s wide receiver unit for 2026 along with Jeremiah Smith, who confirmed his return to Ohio State for his junior season on Tuesday.
Inniss will also be one of the Buckeyes’ top team leaders in 2026 as a returning team captain from 2025.
As a first-year starter in 2025, Inniss didn’t have as much production as expected, catching 36 passes for 271 yards and three touchdowns. The Buckeyes will be counting on Inniss to be a big part of their offense in 2026, however, following the departure of Carnell Tate to the NFL draft as well as the transfer exits of Mylan Graham, Quincy Porter and Bryson Rodgers.
Inniss is the first of Ohio State’s potential NFL draft entrants to publicly confirm he’ll be back for the 2026 season. Other draft-eligible Buckeyes who have yet to announce decisions include linebacker Arvell Reese, defensive linemen Kayden McDonald and Kenyatta Jackson Jr., tight end Max Klare, cornerback Jermaine Mathews Jr. and offensive linemen Austin Siereveld, Luke Montgomery and Carson Hinzman.
