Bryce West is ready to Jump Around.

West committed to Wisconsin on Tuesday. The former Ohio State cornerback will play for former Buckeye defensive lineman and assistant coach Luke Fickell in Madison.

A four-star recruit from Glenville High School in Cleveland, West was the No. 64 prospect in the 2024 recruiting class. He cracked Ohio State's two-deep in 2025 as the No. 2 nickel behind Lorenzo Styles Jr., though the Buckeyes opted to move Jermaine Mathews Jr. over to the position and have freshman Devin Sanchez replace him on the outside when Styles missed time with injuries this year.

West played a total of 90 defensive snaps in 2025, collecting 10 total tackles and forcing one fumble. He ended his Ohio State career with 11 total tackles.

Despite Fickell's 17-21 record in three seasons at Wisconsin, the 52-year-old received a vote of confidence from athletic director Chris McIntosh entering 2026. McIntosh told ESPN's Pete Thamel in November that the school would increase its investment in Fickell's roster, staff and program infrastructure, allowing him to pursue talent like West in the portal and build a competitive roster.

"Chancellor (Jennifer) Mnookin and I are aligned on significantly elevating investment in our program to compete at highest level," McIntosh told ESPN. "We are willing to make an investment in infrastructure and staff. As important, is our ability to retain and recruit players in a revenue share and NIL era."

McIntosh added, "If Wisconsin is going to be as competitive as we expect, the support has to be as competitive. There's no getting around it. Our people, our fans are passionate about Wisconsin football. I'd have it no other way. A successful football program is important to the university, the state and our lettermen."
