Another week, another lofty spread in favor of Ohio State.

According to DraftKings, the Buckeyes opened as 31.5-point favorites against Rutgers ahead of their matchup at Ohio Stadium on Saturday. That spread has since risen to 33.5 points in the short time since it went live.

Sitting at 10-0 on the season, Ohio State has also been quite impressive against the spread, boasting an 8-2 mark. The lone "losses" came against Ohio and Purdue. The Buckeyes are 5-1 ATS at Ohio Stadium this season.

Rutgers enters Saturday’s contest at 5-5 on the season, with its record against the spread mirroring its overall mark to this point of the campaign. The Scarlet Knights have covered in two of their last three games, and are 2-2 against the spread this season.

The point total for Saturday’s battle between the Buckeyes and Scarlet Knights is set at 56.5 points. Ohio State has gone over the total in only four games this season, but the over has hit in two of its last three games. The under has hit in each of Rutgers’ last three contests.

The Buckeyes are 10-0 against Rutgers all-time, with five of those games taking place since Ryan Day took the reins as Ohio State’s head coach in 2019. This is their first meeting since 2023.

Kickoff between Ohio State and Rutgers is set for noon at Ohio Stadium, and the game will be televised on FOX.
