Jump around! The Ohio State Buckeyes play football today!

The top-ranked Buckeyes visit Camp Randall Stadium for a Big Ten tilt with Wisconsin on Saturday, going head-to-head with a familiar face in Badgers head coach Luke Fickell — a former defensive lineman for Ohio State.

Wisconsin enters Saturday’s tilt in the midst of a four-game losing streak, including three double-digit losses to Maryland, Michigan and Iowa to open conference play at 0-3. The Badgers' loss to the Hawkeyes came in embarrassing fashion, with Iowa marching into Madison and blanking Wisconsin 37-0.

Ohio State finds itself in a very different position at this point in the season. The Buckeyes have handled business, jumping out to a 6-0 start, landing signature victories over Texas and Illinois in the process.

As the Buckeyes aim to continue their winning ways against the Badgers, the Eleven Warriors staff is confident in Ohio State’s ability to take care of business against Wisconsin.

SCORE PREDICTIONS

Andy Anders — Ohio State 41, Wisconsin 0: I don’t see Wisconsin doing literally anything against Ohio State’s defense, though this is football so they’ll probably find a way to score just because I predicted a shutout.

Chase Brown — Ohio State 38, Wisconsin 3: I should place a 0 next to Wisconsin, but I have to respect Luke Fickell a little bit — but just a little bit — and make this a Gentleman's Shutout for the Buckeyes.

George Eisner — Ohio State 38, Wisconsin 0: If these Badgers can’t score on Iowa at home, no reason to think they’ll have any more success against the most elite defense in college football. Out of respect to a former Buckeye, here’s hoping Fickell won’t go the way of Frames Janklin the day after this one.

Jack Emerson — Ohio State 45, Wisconsin 3: Ohio State will be in full control of this game from the opening kickoff until the final whistle, but the Badgers will still find a way to at least put some points on the board.

Matt Gutridge — Ohio State 42, Wisconsin 0: 2019 was the first time Ryan Day and Luke Fickell faced off when the Cincinnati Bearcats visited Ohio Stadium. The Buckeyes won that game 42-0. Today might be the last time Day coaches against a Wisconsin team led by Fickell. A 42-0 Ohio State victory is a fitting way for the series to end.

Dan Hope — Ohio State 42, Wisconsin 0: Wisconsin’s offense is the worst in the Big Ten by a wide margin, setting up a prime opportunity for Ohio State’s defense to record its second shutout of the season. The Buckeyes won’t need to open things all the way up offensively to beat the Badgers, but they should still score more than 40 against a team that just allowed Iowa of all teams to score 37.

Kyle Jones — Ohio State 42, Wisconsin 3: It’s hard to see a world where Wisconsin reaches the end zone before garbage time, as the Badgers have struggled to move the football against defense far less stout than Ohio State’s.

Chris Lauderback — Ohio State 38, Wisconsin 6: The run game looks meh again but Julian Sayin ties his career-high with four touchdowns through three quarters before Ryan Day calls off the dogs out of respect for Luke Fickell.

Ramzy Nasrallah — Ohio State 35, Wisconsin 7: The Badgers score a touchdown either on or as a direct result of an Ohio State special teams gaffe.

Josh Poloha — Ohio State 42, Wisconsin 3: The Badgers stand no chance even with Luke Fickell leading the way. The Buckeyes’ starters will be pulled by the early part of the fourth quarter.

Jason Priestas — Ohio State 35, Wisconsin 6: Ohio State fans won’t enjoy this romp all that much given what Luke Fickell means to Ohio State football, but it will be a romp, nonetheless, as the Buckeyes put another nail in the coffin that is his tenure as the head man in Madison.

Jordan Raines — Ohio State 38, Wisconsin 6: After last week’s offensive miscues against Illinois, the Buckeyes clean things up and overwhelm the Badgers without much trouble.

WILL OHIO STATE COVER?

Ohio State enters Saturday’s contest as a 25.5-point favorite to take down the Badgers, and the Eleven Warriors staff unanimously believes that the Buckeyes will cover that lofty total. Four members of the staff expect Ohio State to pitch a shutout, as Andy Anders, George Eisner, Mutt Gutridge and Dan Hope all envision the Buckeyes holding Wisconsin scoreless.

Sitting at 6-0 on the season outright, Ohio State has also been impressive against the spread, sporting a 5-1 mark at the campaign’s midway point. Wisconsin’s record against the spread matches its outright record, as the Badgers are 2-4 in both areas.

WHAT ABOUT THE OVER/UNDER?

The point total for Saturday’s contest sits at 41.5 points, with the Buckeyes largely expected to carry the scoring load. Four members of the Eleven Warriors staff expect the Buckeyes and Badgers to combine for fewer points than the total, with Anders, Chase Brown, Eisner and Jason Priestas picking the under.

The under has hit in four of Ohio State’s six games, including last week’s 34-16 win over Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. Wisconsin has seen the under hit in each of its last three games.
