For the first time this season, Ohio State will play in hostile territory.

The top-ranked Buckeyes made the cross-country trip to Seattle to battle Washington at the “Greatest Setting in College Football” — Husky Stadium on the banks of Lake Washington.

Through three games, Washington boasts one of the best offenses in college football, helmed by sophomore quarterback Demond Williams Jr., leading the country in scoring with 55.7 points per game. However, the Huskies have yet to be tested, having secured their three wins against Colorado State, UC Davis, and Washington State.

Ohio State is more than equipped to handle Washington’s efficient offensive attack, possessing the No. 1 scoring defense in the country, allowing just 5.3 points per game across its three wins.

As the Buckeyes prepare to be road warriors for the first time this campaign, the Eleven Warriors staff is confident in Ohio State’s ability to take care of business against the Huskies.

SCORE PREDICTIONS

Andy Anders — Ohio State 38, Washington 24: Washington is very talented on offense, but Arvell Reese will be the key to containing Demond Williams Jr.’s legs, and the Buckeyes make enough stops to pull away with a massive advantage on offense against the Huskies’ defense.

Chase Brown — Ohio State 34, Washington 20: This is the most uneasy I've felt when predicting a score for an Ohio State game this season. I am confident the Buckeyes will win, but I wouldn't be surprised if the team experiences some speed bumps to get there.

George Eisner — Ohio State 42, Washington 17: The Silver Bullets finally give up double-digits to a dangerous offensive opponent. However, the Huskies’ untested defense will have their hands full trying to ground the Buckeye passing attack that emerges fresh off a bye and finally hit its groove in the second half against Ohio.

Jack Emerson — Ohio State 28, Washington 24: Ohio State passes its first road test of the season despite a very spirited effort from the Huskies. Julian Sayin does just enough to handle the raucous environment at Husky Stadium.

Matt Gutridge — Ohio State 38, Washington 13: If Bo Jackson reaches triple digits in rushing yards, he'll become the first Ohio State true freshman to have three consecutive 100-yard rushing games since Maurice Clarett did it in games 5-8 of the 2002 season. If Ohio State wins, it will be the team's 22nd straight regular-season win following an in-season bye week. Here's to both streaks continuing.

Dan Hope — Ohio State 34, Washington 21: Washington’s dynamic offense and a tough environment for Julian Sayin’s first road start will test Ohio State on both sides of the ball, and I won’t be surprised if the Huskies lead at halftime. In the end, though, Ohio State’s passing offense and Matt Patricia’s defense will step up to take control of the game in the second half.

Kyle Jones — Ohio State 35, Washington 20: Demond Williams Jr. breaks a few big plays in the first half, but the Washington defense has no answers and Ryan Day’s offense eats up clock in the second half to come away with a decisive victory.

Chris Lauderback — Ohio State 35, Washington 20: Maybe I’m missing the boat on the Washington hype, but I see Ohio State largely controlling both lines of scrimmage and having the far superior defense in this one.

Ramzy Nasrallah — Ohio State 38, Washington 20: Two good offenses and one good defense, which will force the home team into making too many second-half mistakes.

Josh Poloha — Ohio State 34, Washington 24: Even a raucous crowd on the West Coast can't stop the Buckeyes. Washington keeps it close with their playmakers but in the end, Ohio State's offense proves to be too much for the Huskies' defense.

Jason Priestas — Ohio State 34, Washington 19: Julian Sayin aces his first big road test of his career as the Buckeye defense continues to prove they’re elite holding a potent Washington offense to four field goals and a garbage time touchdown.

Jordan Raines — Ohio State 28, Washington 17: Julian Sayin looks poised and plays a mistake-free game. Arvell Reese wreaks havoc on the Huskies’ offense. The Buckeyes pass their first road test of the season.

WILL OHIO STATE COVER?

There has been plenty of movement regarding the spread for this Big Ten bout. After Ohio State opened as 14-point favorites, the line has dwindled to 8.5 points in favor of the Buckeyes as of Saturday morning. Ohio State is 2-1 against the spread this season after the Buckeyes failed to cover the lofty 29.5-point line in its 37-9 victory over Ohio on Sept. 13.

The Eleven Warriors staff was nearly in consensus regarding the Buckeyes’ fate against the spread, with Jack Emerson being the lone holdout. Matt Gutridge and George Eisner predicted Ohio State to have little trouble in Seattle, picking the Buckeyes to win by 25 — the largest difference among the Eleven Warriors staff.

WHAT ABOUT THE OVER/UNDER?

While the spread has shifted considerably throughout the week, the point total has remained steady at 52.5 points. The over has hit just once this season in Ohio State games, with the Buckeyes’ 70-0 victory over Grambling State being the lone cover. Meanwhile, the over has hit in all three of Washington’s games this season.

Only three members of the Eleven Warriors staff picked the under to hit, with Emerson, Gutridge and Jordan Raines each anticipating the defenses doing just enough to hold the total score below 52.5 points.
