"An army of 100,000 standing ready behind our Eleven Warriors..."

National champion Jack Sawyer narrated Ohio State's Texas Game Trailer, setting the tone for the Buckeyes' top-three showdown with the Longhorns in the season opener.

Sawyer was Ohio State's hero the last time it faced Texas on a football field. In last season's Cotton Bowl, with the Buckeyes leading the Longhorns 21-14 late in the fourth quarter, Sawyer stripped Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers, scooped the football from the turf and returned it 83 yards for a touchdown that sent the Buckeyes to the national championship game.

As Ohio State prepares for its rematch with Texas, Sawyer reminded us all that the Buckeyes, despite all their coaching staff and roster turnover, expect to assert dominance over Texas once again — this time on their turf, not in the Longhorns' backyard.

"Over 200 days ago, the final pieces of confetti fell. That's all history now," Sawyer said of Ohio State's national title. "While others read headlines, we get back to work, started over brick by brick. Building a new foundation from the ground up. ... History doesn't define you, but what it does do is demand greatness through our scarlet blood."

Ohio State and Texas kick off at noon on Saturday.
