Contrary to what Michigan men might say, Ohio State became one of the most deserving national champions in college football history in 2024.
After Wolverine defensive end Derrick Moore said at Big Ten Media Days that the national title wasn't a “real win” for the Buckeyes because of their loss to Michigan earlier in the year, we're here to tell you what you probably already know: Beating the No. 1, 3, 5 and 7 teams in the final College Football Playoff rankings to hoist the championship trophy makes Ohio State's natty as real as it gets.
Elsewhere at Big Ten Media Days, Dan Lanning and Ryan Day seem to have a blossoming friendship after the Ohio State and Oregon coaches expressed a mutual admiration for each other at media days. There's no bitterness from Oregon toward Ohio State for what happened in the Rose Bowl, though the Ducks have used the blowout loss as fuel this offseason.
Following our discussion of what we took away from the Buckeyes' media days sessions last Tuesday, we spend this episode of Press Coverage looking at the Big Ten as a whole, also discussing Penn State’s quest to get over the hump this season and the many other intriguing teams around the conference.
