Ohio State has made three changes to future non-conference schedules that will impact the 2029 and 2030 seasons.
In a press release on Wednesday, Ohio State football announced it has added matchups with Navy and Youngstown State to its 2029 schedule. To make room for their battle with the Midshipmen, the Buckeyes moved their matchup with Nevada to 2030.
With Navy, Youngstown State and Nevada locked into place, Ohio State's non-conference schedule is complete for the next five college football seasons. The Buckeyes will face Texas, Grambling State and Ohio in 2025; Ball State, Texas (in Austin) and Kent State in 2026; Bowling Green, New Hampshire and Alabama in 2027; Buffalo, Alabama (in Tuscaloosa) and Northern Illinois in 2028; and Navy, Charlotte and Youngstown State in 2029.
Ohio State still needs to schedule a season opener in 2030, but will face Nevada and Georgia (in Athens) in the following weeks.
Ohio State is undefeated (5-0) against Navy in a series that dates back to 1930. The most recent victories came in 2009, a closer-than-expected 31-27 win in which Brian Rolle recorded a rare pick-two late in the fourth quarter, and 2014, a comfortable 34-17 win in Annapolis, Maryland. The Buckeyes are also undefeated (3-0) in a series that dates back to 2007, and they have no previous matchups with Nevada.
