Another sportsbook considers Ohio State to be an underdog for this year’s edition of The Game.

While FanDuel lists Ohio State as a 1-point underdog in the late November matchup at Michigan, DraftKings favors the Wolverines even more, listing the Buckeyes as a 2.5-point underdog in The Game.

That betting line was one of six released for Ohio State this week by DraftKings. FanDuel had already posted betting lines for four of the Buckeyes' biggest games upcoming season, including their games at Notre Dame and against Penn State, a November night game against Michigan State and Ohio State's regular-season finale in Ann Arbor. After posting the betting line for the season opener at Indiana on Sunday, DraftKings posted lines for five more Buckeye games on Monday, including its games at Notre Dame (-7), against Penn State (-10.5), at Wisconsin (-10) and against Michigan State (-24.5) in addition to the regular-season finale in Ann Arbor.

Ohio State Betting Odds for 2023 Season
DATE OPPONENT DraftKings FanDuel
Sept. 2, 2023 at Indiana -28
Sept. 23, 2023 at Notre Dame -7 -8.5
Oct. 21, 2023 Penn State -10.5 -10.5
Oct. 28, 2023 at Wisconsin -10
Nov. 11, 2023 Michigan State -24.5 -24.5
Nov. 25, 2023 at Michigan +2.5 +1

The 10-point line for Wisconsin is the first one posted for the Buckeyes’ late October matchup with the Badgers, in which Ohio State will travel to Camp Randall for the first time since 2016 to face Luke Fickell’s first Wisconsin squad. Ohio State hasn't lost to Wisconsin since 2010, a stretch that includes nine straight wins against the Badgers, with two of its last three wins coming by 31 points each.

Since Ryan Day took over for Urban Meyer as the full-time head coach in 2019, the Buckeyes are 42-6 overall but haven't had as much success against the spread, going just 25-21-2 against the betting line over the past four seasons.

Ohio State's Record Against the Spread in Ryan Day Era
Season ATS
2019 9-5
2020 4-4
2021 6-6-1
2022 6-6-1

While Ohio State will only be focused on doing whatever it can to win every game, getting an early look at the betting lines allows Buckeye Nation to see how sportsbooks believe the Buckeyes will fare this season.
