The awards keep coming for C.J. Stroud.

After he earned national offensive player of the week honors from the Walter Camp Football Foundation and Ohio State’s offensive player of the game award on Sunday, Stroud was named both the Big Ten offensive player of the week and freshman of the week on Monday.

The awards come after Stroud had his best performance yet in Saturday’s 56-7 win over Michigan State, in which he completed 32 of 35 passing attempts for 432 yards and a school record-tying six touchdowns, all of which came before halftime as he played just one drive in the second half. Stroud also set an Ohio State record by completing 17 consecutive passes.

Stroud has now won the Big Ten offensive player of the week award twice this season, as he also won the award after throwing for 406 yards and five touchdowns against Maryland. It's the fourth time an Ohio State player has won Big Ten offensive player of the week honors this season, as TreVeyon Henderson was a Big Ten co-offensive player of the week after he ran for 270 yards and three touchdowns against Tulsa while Garrett Wilson was a Big Ten co-offensive player of the week last week after he scored three receiving touchdowns and a rushing touchdown against Purdue.

With his seventh freshman of the week award of the season, Stroud has now tied J.T. Barrett’s school record for the most times winning the award. It's the ninth time in 11 games that freshman of the week honors have gone to an Ohio State player, as Henderson also won freshman of the week honors after the Tulsa game while Kyle McCord was freshman of the week after he filled in for Stroud against Akron.
