Carlos Hyde is joining Urban Meyer in Jacksonville.

The former Ohio State running back has agreed to a two-year, $6 million deal with the Jaguars, according to multiple reports.

Hyde previously played for Meyer, who is entering his first season as the Jaguars' coach, during his final two seasons at Ohio State in 2012 and 2013. Hyde was the Buckeyes' top running back in both of those seasons, rushing for 2,491 yards and 31 touchdowns between them while also catching 24 passes for 198 yards and four touchdowns.

They'll now look to recreate that magic together in Jacksonville, where Hyde projects to be the No. 2 running back behind James Robinson, who ran for 1,070 yards last season as a rookie.

This will be Hyde's second stint in Jacksonville, where he previously played part of the 2018 season, rushing for 189 yards in eight games after being traded by the Cleveland Browns.

Hyde ran for an NFL career-high 1,070 yards with the Houston Texans in 2019, then ran for 356 yards and four touchdowns last season with the Seattle Seahawks. He played his first four NFL seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, who selected him in the second round of the 2014 NFL draft.

Hyde joins two of Meyer's other former Ohio State players in Jacksonville: offensive guard Andrew Norwell, who restructured his contract to stay with the Jaguars on Monday morning, and defensive tackle DaVon Hamilton.
