The college football season has looked different so far this year, and the Heisman Trophy ceremony will be no different, with a later-than-usual virtual ceremony.

With this season stretching into mid-to-late December, the 2020 Heisman Trophy ceremony is now set for Jan. 5 with this year's finalists announced on Dec. 24. The voting deadline will be Dec. 21, just after the completion of the conference championship games.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year's ceremony will be virtual, originating from ESPN's studio with all finalists set to appear via satellite from either their homes or schools.

Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields is the current betting favorite to win this year's Heisman Trophy, with +150 odds on BetOnline.ag, ahead of Alabama's Mac Jones at +175 and Clemson's Trevor Lawrence at +250. Fields was a finalist for the award last season.
