Carlos Hyde's return to Ohio was short-lived, as the Browns traded the former Buckeye ballcarrier to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Friday in exchange for a fifth-round pick in the 2019 NFL draft.

ESPN's Adam Schefter was the first to report the trade.

Hyde had played in all six of Cleveland's games this season, totaling 382 yards and five touchdowns on 114 carries.

In Cleveland's win over the Jets earlier in the season, Hyde rushed for 98 yards, scoring the team's only two touchdowns to help lift the Browns to their first win in two seasons – all while his girlfriend was in labor with his first child.
