Ohio State finishes the 2017 season ranked fifth in both major college football polls.

The Buckeyes checked in at No. 5 in the final Coaches Poll of the year, released Tuesday, mirroring their final ranking in the AP poll.

Alabama takes the top spot in the Coaches Poll, and all 62 first-place votes, after its 26-23 overtime victory against Georgia in the College Football Playoff national championship game on Monday night. The rest of the Coaches Poll's top five also mirrors the AP Top 25, with Georgia checking in second, Oklahoma third and Clemson fourth.

Wisconsin, which suffered its only loss of the season against Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship Game, takes the No. 6 spot in the final Coaches Poll while UCF, the only undefeated team in college football this season, finishes at No. 7.

Penn State checks in at No. 8, while Michigan State and Northwestern give the Big Ten two additional representatives at the 16th and 17th spots.
