Former Ohio State cornerback Marshon Lattimore was named Friday as the NFL Rookie of the Week for his performance in the New Orleans Saints' 52-38 win over the Detroit Lions last Sunday.

Lattimore's performance last weekend was highlighted by an interception returned 27 yards for a touchdown – the first touchdown of his NFL career – on a day that he had five total tackles and two total passes defensed.

According to Pro Football Focus' Nathan Jahnke, Lattimore had a dominant performance over the course of the game in coverage.

Lattimore, selected out of Ohio State as the 11th overall pick in this year's NFL draft, has recorded 21 total tackles, four passes defensed and one forced fumbles in his first four NFL games.
