As a four-star receiver prospect from Cleveland Heights in 2017, Jaylen Harris stayed patient in his recruitment and eventually landed at Ohio State.

Thursday, Ohio State announced Harris had done enough to shed his black stripe and officially join Urban Meyer's program.

Harris has yet to appear in a game. Meyer noted last week during his radio call-in show that he's getting close to being "game-ready" but is still battling inconsistencies.

While it remains to be seen if Harris plays against UNLV, this is undoubtedly a step in the right direction.

Linebacker Baron Browning, offensive lineman Josh Myers, and walk-on receiver Garyn Prater also lost their black stripes Thursday.
