Ohio State Opens As 16.5-Point Favorite Against Nebraska

In what's likely to be a top-10 matchup next weekend, Ohio State is surprisingly a heavy favorite. The Buckeyes opened as 16.5-point favorites against Nebraska next weekend, according to Vegas Insider. 

Ohio State (7-1, 4-1 B1G) is coming off a 24-20 victory over Northwestern on Saturday. The Buckeyes suffered their lone loss of the season two weeks ago at Penn State.

Nebraska (7-1, 4-1) lost its first game of the season Saturday, falling 23-17 in overtime at Wisconsin. The Cornhuskers started the season 7-0.

This is the first meeting between the Buckeyes and Cornhuskers since 2012. Ohio State won the last meeting, 63-38, in Columbus. Ohio State holds a 3-1 lead in the series all time. The Huskers' lone win came in 2011, a 34-27 victory in Lincoln. 

Ohio State and Nebraska are scheduled for an 8 p.m. ET kickoff time at Ohio Stadium. The game will be televised on ABC.
