The annual NFL draft media circus is almost over, as Thursday night's first-round proceedings will force all cards onto the table. It's a rare sight, which is what makes it a spectacle.
Ohio State saw five players drafted in 2005, but that Tressel-era mark could be bested come Thursday night, albeit with help of players he recruited.
According to oddsmakers at online sportsbook Bovada, the Buckeyes are odds-on-favorite to see the most players drafted in the first round.
| SCHOOL | O/U |
|---|---|
| OHIO STATE | 5.5 |
| ALABAMA | 3.5 |
| OLE MISS | 2.5 |
Of course that's not the only thing you could make money on if gambling were hypothetically legal. Here's how Joey Bosa's and Ezekiel Elliott's draft stock equates to cold hard cash.
| NAME | POSITION | SCHOOL | DRAFT NO. O/U |
|---|---|---|---|
| JOEY BOSA | DE | OHIO STATE | 5 |
| MYLES JACK | LB | UCLA | 8 |
| EZEKIEL ELLIOTT | RB | OHIO STATE | 8.5 |
| PAXTON LYNCH | QB | MEMPHIS | 21.5 |
| DERRICK HENRY | RB | ALABAMA | 36.5 |
California QB Jared Goff is odds-on-favorite to be the Los Angeles Rams' No. 1 overall selection, while North Dakota State's Carson Wentz (7:1) came in second ahead of third-place "Any Other Player" (33:1). The over–under on QBs taken is 2.5.
The NFL Draft starts Thursday night at 8:00 p.m. ET from Chicago on ESPN and NFL Network.
