I understand being mad at the outcome of the Fiesta Bowl, because I am mad at the outcome of the Fiesta Bowl. It wasn't a game that I expected Ohio State to win, but it was a game in which I expected Ohio State to score points. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that you felt the same way, and I'll also go ahead and assume that you want to hold someone responsible for those zero points.

Which is fine! I feel the same way, but having done the Twitter post for a while now, it's become readily apparent to me that Ohio State should not be basing personnel or playcalling decisions on the whims of very angry, slightly drunk Buckeye fans. At least, not all the time.

The reason why I think people call for a Robespierre-style purge after bad losses is because they want to exert some kind of control over a situation which they have no control over. It's a perfectly understandable impulse, but I hope that it'll make you feel a little better to know that even former Buckeye players feel the same way.

Anyway, this Twitter Reaction post is a little different. There's going to be a lot of chronological negativity, but if you can stick with me, the ending is a little more positive. Let's get to it.

THINGS STARTED OUT GREAT, BEFORE THEY IMMEDIATELY TURNED TO CRAP

THIS IS WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE AS PEOPLE WATCH THINGS TURN TO CRAP

NO, THANK YOU GUYS

And that wraps up the Twitter Reactions for this year. It sucks to close it out this way, but while yes, everyone should be fired, I'm still proud of how this team battled through adversity and their own occasionally boneheaded play week in and week out. The 2016 Buckeyes were the youngest team in college football, and put in work. My hat is off to them.
