So I know a lot of people hate NIL and I don't deny there are some negatives to it. But let's not forget what the state of CFB was before it was introduced.

SEC teams were winning titles every year and I hate that this sport is so centered around what conference wins the title, but SEC fans were THE MOST annoying thing I have ever had to put up with. Ever since we got killed by Florida in 06 (I was 12 at the time) I have been hearing constantly about how amazing the SEC is and how bad and overrated Ohio State is. Let's not forget just 3 years ago SEC had just won their 4th title in a row and it truly looked like there was no end in sight

The truth most likely is that SEC teams were paying players and giving them improper benefits that teams in the B1G weren't (just ask Laremy Tunsil). NIL leveled things out.

Again: Let me clarify that I don't like rooting for a conference, but I would have SEC fans just throw that "SEC is supreme" argument without me saying anything abd they said it in the most condescending fashion. That is why I'm glad things finally changed and I would seriously not feel bad if the SEC never won a title again.
