Braxton Miller returned to national prominence on Monday night with over 150 yards of total offense, including a spin move that seemed to defy the laws of physics.

Not bad for a guy making his first career start at wide receiver.

Meanwhile, in Cleveland, former QB Terrelle Pryor is hoping his first career outing at WR (Sunday, 1:00 p.m. against the Jets) goes just as well. Like anyone who watched the Monday night game, Pryor came away singing Miller's praises.

From WFNY.com:

“He is phenomenal,” said Pryor. “He came in well as a receiver, then he did a little bit more stuff in the backfield and did some quarterback stuff. He looked pretty versatile and electric.”

When Pryor was asked if Miller can be a template for his success, Pryor stated, “he’s a Buckeye. That’s what Buckeyes do: They make plays.”

[...]

“I just look to make plays and try to get the ball in my hands,” he said. “Obviously, it’s the NFL level, so there is more game planning and people understand that and know who is on the field at all times and stuff like that.”

As a Browns fan, I'll be shocked if Pryor has a similar outing against the New York Jets.

That's not a knock on Pryor's athletic ability — which can still dominate an NFL game — but rather the level of talent surrounding Pryor compared to that surrounding Braxton Miller. (For example, Cardale Jones or J.T. Barrett would both probably start for Cleveland.)

That said, if Pryor were to breakout like Braxton Miller did on Monday night, the governor will need the National Guard to quell the uprising of deliriously drunken Browns fans.
