Noted Bad Quarterback Collector Les Miles: 'I Would've Loved to Been in the Running for Braxton Miller'

Les Miles, a Bayou warlock who's never been accused of being a QB whisperer, is like 100% of collegiate football coaches in that he would welcome a dynamo like Braxton Miller into the fold.

Unlike most coaches, however, Les Miles has no problem saying as such. He even went as far as saying he would not have been in the running for Notre Dame castaway Everett Golson (who since landed in Tallahassee).

Braxton Miller admitted other schools made hard runs at him, and Miller-to-LSU rumor had its time, as short as it was.

And sure, Miles is speaking figuratively, but as evidenced by Miller's admission, off-the-books back channels exist in college football. Miles didn't get to this far in the game by making on-the-record gaffes like that.

Was LSU one of the teams that reached out to the two-time Silver Football winner? We'll probably never know, but one thing we do know is this is the closest LSU ever actually came to rostering Braxton Miller.
