Ohio State's 2026 class has lost its second commit in three months.
Three-star tight end Corbyn Fordham has flipped his commitment from Ohio State to Florida State. He joins Jakob Weatherspoon as the Buckeyes' second decommit in three months, as the four-star defensive back flipped to Bill Belichick's North Carolina Tar Heels on July 16.
Fordham committed to Ohio State on Nov. 28, 2024. At the time, he was a four-star recruit ranked as the No. 15 tight end and No. 323 overall prospect in the 2026 class, according to the 247Sports composite. His rankings have since fallen to the No. 33 tight end and No. 628 overall prospect in the cycle.
A Jacksonville, Florida, native and soon-to-be graduate of The Bolles School, Fordham is a high school teammate of Ohio State safety commit Simeon Caldwell. He and Caldwell will now head their separate ways, with Fordham set to join Mike Norvell's Seminoles.
Fordham's father, Todd Fordham, played offensive line for Florida State in the 1990s, helping bring home the school's first national championship in 1993, before a successful 10-year career in the NFL.
Following Fordham's flip, Ohio State drops to 20 commitments in the 2026 class, headlined by five-stars Chris Henry Jr. and Blaine Bradford. The Buckeyes no longer have any tight end commits in the cycle, which Keenan Bailey will look to change. Ohio State continues to recruit Alabama tight end commit Mack Sutter, who’s long been one of Bailey’s top targets in the class, while Fordham’s decommitment could also lead to new offers at the position.
That said, the Buckeyes’ tight end room looks well-stocked for 2026 even without Fordham as Max Klare, Bennett Christian, Jelani Thurman, Nate Roberts, Max LeBlanc and Brody Lennon could all potentially return.
