We normally wouldn’t lead a Hurry-Up with a catch made by an Ohio State recruiting target three cycles away.
But the one-handed catch that 2028 Florida Brysen Wright made over the weekend at the NFL Flag Football championships was too crazy not to share. In fact, just do yourself a favor and go watch it if you haven’t already.

Wright is a good bet to be a future five-star prospect in the 2028 recruiting class and Brian Hartline already offered the 6-foot-3, 200-pound prospect this spring. The Jacksonville resident camped with Ohio State over the summer and left with a favorable impression of the Buckeyes.
“Going to college, what you want is to develop, right? If you come to Ohio State, you know you’re gonna develop, and they can get you to the league as they've done for very many years with other receivers,” Wright told Eleven Warriors following the recruiting camp.
Apropos of nothing, Wright is entering his second year of high school and already reportedly has a five-figure trading card deal that pays the sophomore an NFL first-round receiver rate per autograph. It’s good to be a high-profile prospect these days.
Teddy Jarrard will commit Thursday
An Ohio State quarterback target for the 2027 class has narrowed his recruitment down to five and has a decision date set for Thursday. Four-star Georgia quarterback Teddy Jarrard will pick a school between Notre Dame, Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State Thursday, as the 6-foot-3, 190-pound standout is coming off a busy summer where he took multiple college visits, including to Ohio State.

The 63 200 QB from Kennesaw, GA will choose between Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, & Penn State

Per 247Sports’ composite rankings, Jarrard is considered the No. 195 prospect and No. 15 quarterback in the 2027 class. A few days ahead of the announcement, the Fighting Irish are the team with the most momentum surrounding Jarrard. Assuming he picks a school that isn’t OSU, the Buckeyes still will continue evaluating other signal callers this fall as they consider taking a second quarterback for the 2027 cycle in addition to Ohio State commit Brady Edmunds.
Guilford reportedly took less to come to Ohio State
If you’ve been following Ohio State recruiting this summer, it hasn’t always resulted in the best possible outcomes for the Buckeyes, as the modern era continues to see high bidders rewarded in top-tier recruitments. But if you have some NIL fatigue, you’ll enjoy hearing an interesting tidbit regarding the Buckeyes’ latest commitment, four-star wide receiver Jerquaden Guilford.
Per Rivals’ Greg Smith, Guilford took “significantly less” money than what was on the table from other schools, most likely Ole Miss, to play for Ohio State and Brian Hartline.
Sources tell me that Guilford took significantly less of an NIL deal to be developed at Ohio State by Brian Hartline. https://t.co/ANWNbzy7Mt

When you’ve produced first-round NFL draft picks in each of the past four drafts, it’s a pretty understandable choice.
Derrek Cooper commits to Texas
Does Texas have unlimited money this recruiting cycle?

Anyway, the Longhorns made another splashy move on Sunday by adding the commitment of five-star Florida running back Derrek Cooper, a one-time Ohio State target. At 21 commits, Texas currently sits fifth in the 247Sports recruiting class rankings, but it won’t be that low for long at this rate.
As for Ohio State, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Buckeyes roll with only Favour Akih for their 2026 recruiting class and potentially add another running back in the transfer portal, unless Carlos Locklyn identifies another senior prospect worth pursuing this fall.
