One of Ohio State’s top tight end targets in the 2025 class has narrowed his recruitment to six teams.

Four-star Georgia tight end Emaree Winston released a top six on Thursday consisting of Ohio State, USC, UCF, Tennessee, North Carolina and Cincinnati.

Winston is considered the 207th-ranked prospect nationally and the seventh-best tight end in 2025 per 247Sports’ composite rankings. He told Eleven Warriors on Wednesday that he plans on making a gameday visit to Columbus sometime this fall, but he is uncertain of a specific date.

The 6-foot-2, 235-pound prospect has taken several visits to Ohio State over the past 18 months, including most recently in April for the Buckeyes’ spring game.

"I wouldn’t think a spring game would be that lit,” he said afterward. “Over 75,000 people, those are true fans right there."

He picked up his Buckeyes offer last June and has received more than 20 Division I offers. Winston is near the top of Ohio State’s recruiting board for tight ends in the 2025 class, along with Nate Roberts and in-state product Luka Gilbert

Top-60 CB Devin Williams plans Penn State gameday visit

An Ohio State cornerback target in the 2025 class has confirmed he’ll be visiting for arguably the Buckeyes’ biggest home game of the season. Four-star Georgia 2025 cornerback Devin Williams confirmed to Eleven Warriors Wednesday he plans to attend Ohio State's Oct. 21 matchup with Penn State.

Williams is considered the 60th-best prospect and sixth-rated cornerback in the 2025 class and is the high school teammate of Ohio State 2024 defensive line target Eddrick Houston. He was offered by the Buckeyes on April 7 after taking a visit to Columbus.

“I’ve talked to Eddrick about Ohio State, and he’s told me that he loves it,” Williams said in April. “It’s definitely going to be a top choice for him. ... It felt great to be offered by coach Ryan Day. I just felt elite after that, hearing I got the offer. He said he cares about family a lot and he just wanted to see how my family and I were. After that, he gave me the offer.”

Deuce Edwards to visit OSU for Michigan State game

As part of the Big Ten’s new TV deal, some games in November are now going to be played at night, something unheard of in past years.

Ohio State will get a taste of playing in the colder climate at night this season when it hosts Michigan State at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 11 in Columbus. While there are certainly in-person weather drawbacks to having a late kickoff in an outdoor stadium that late into the year, there are also some recruiting benefits too.

Namely, some prospects will be able to make the game after playing late into the night on Friday instead of it being a noon kickoff. Virginia 2025 cornerback Terrance “Deuce” Edwards is one of those players, as he told Eleven Warriors Wednesday he and his father are likely to attend that game because of the kickoff time.

Edwards camped at Ohio State over the summer and was impressive, but he doesn’t hold an offer as of yet. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound defensive back has nearly 20 Division I offers, including from the likes of Clemson, Colorado, Maryland, Missouri, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Penn State, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
