About a month from now, Ohio State will find out if it has done enough to secure the commitment of its top remaining safety target in the 2024 class.

Five-star Georgia safety KJ Bolden has set a commitment date for Aug. 5 and will choose one of his six finalists, Ohio State, Georgia, Alabama, Florida State, Auburn and Clemson.

Bolden took an official visit to each school except Auburn over the summer, but the Buford prospect will visit Auburn later this month before he makes his decision, per 247Sports. He took his official visit to OSU on June 16.

Per 247Sports' composite rankings, Bolden is considered the sixth-rated prospect and the top-ranked safety in the 2024 class.

Bolden's decision date is a few weeks ahead of his high school teammate Eddrick Houston, a five-star defensive lineman that's also a major target for the Buckeyes. Houston is set to announce his decision on Aug. 22.
