On Sunday — the same day he received an invitation to the game — Ohio State four-star athlete commit "Rocket" Ronnie Hickman announced he would play in the All-American Bowl presented by American Family Insurance.

The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Hickman — who attends DePaul Catholic in Wayne, New Jersey — is considered the 11th-best athlete and No. 119 prospect overall in the Class of 2019, though he'll play safety at the next level. He committed to the Buckeyes during his official visit for the annual Spring Game in mid-April.

The All-American Bowl — previously known as the U.S. Army All-American Bowl — will be held at the Alamodome in San Antonio on Jan. 5, 2019. It will be broadcast live on NBC at 1 p.m.

Hickman will be joined in San Antonio by Ohio State five-star wide receiver commit Garrett Wilson, though the Texas native will play for the West squad.

The Buckeyes have been well-represented in the All-American Bowl in recent years, having led all programs in commits invited to the game for three-consecutive years.
