Tony Alford Gave Ohio State Commit/2016's No. 1 RB Kareem Walker a 'Real Life' Talk Last Night

Kareem Walker, 2016's No. 1 running back, has been committed to Ohio State since the night of the national championship game. He is so good, he stands out in a 2016 class already loaded with studs.

It's a long way until February 2016, though.

Walker, like most high schoolers on the cusp of the biggest decision of their lives, is using the time between now and National Signing Day to visit other schools.

After a recent visit to Arizona State, a few recruiting analysts forecasted Walker would be a Sun Devil on National Signing Day. Alabama, where 60 percent of crystal ballers predict Walker will land, always looms large in these scenarios.

But Urban Meyer didn't climb to the sport's summit by hiring coaches who are uncomfortable in recruiting knife fights. It looks like Tony Alford — who replaced Stan Drayton at RB coach after Drayton's exodus to the Chicago Bears — is earning his paycheck this week:

Our Director of Recruiting, Jeremy Birmingham, tells me the current plan is to have Walker back on Ohio State's campus next month when Camp Meyer 2015 is in full-swing.
