The Cass Tech pipeline added another key piece this evening as Ohio State received a commitment from 2015 running back Mike Weber. The coach most responsible for Weber's recruitment, assistant Kerry Coombs, couldn't contain his excitement after finding out that the decision had been made public.

The players he'll line up with at Ohio State are equally as excited, naturally. Adding a Top 100 player — Weber is ranked as the 99th-overall player in the country for 2015 — is always a plus.

Torrance Gibson is not alone in taking to social media to congratulate his future teammate. Matt Burrell, who committed to Ohio State a month ago, was equally as excited.

Wide receiver Alex Stump, via text message, said that Weber's commitment to Ohio State is further proof that something special is being built in Columbus.

"It really solidifies how special this class is," Stump said. "He's a great player and sounds like a great person."

Defensive end Jashon Cornell, who will enroll at Ohio State in three weeks, agrees.

"This class is something special," Cornell said. "Everything is shaping up really well."

Grant Schmidt, another Buckeye offensive lineman commit, has seen Weber's highlights and is excited to work alongside him.

"I'm pumped," Schmidt said. "I wanted a guy who makes good use of our blocking."

A.J. Alexander is another future Buckeye who had checked out what Weber could provide on tape.

"I saw his highlight tape before he committed," Alexander told 11W. "He looks nice."
